But, win or lose, it didn’t matter. Zehra Gunes quickly went viral, and her Instagram page was bombarded with new followers.

The 22-year-old volleyball star was born in 1999 in the suburbs of Istanbul, Turkey. The Olympic volleyball player stands at 197 cm tall and plays the middle blocker position for the Turkish National Team.

Since taking center stage at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and winning the affection of viewers worldwide, Zehra now boasts a large following on Instagram, totaling one million followers.

She is best known for her appearance, since she’s quite famous on social media, her fans are curious to know more about her personal life, career, and relationship status. Zehra Gunes, unlike other celebrities, kept her personal life a secret.

Zehra Gunes’s awards include winning Best Middle Blocker at the 2015 U18 European Championship, the 2017 U20 World Championship, and the 2019 FIVB Club World Championship.

She played for Vakfbank Istanbul in the 2017-18 season, earning the Vestel Special Prize for her performance in the Vestel Venus Sultans League, Turkey’s top-level volleyball league
