‘Thugs of Hindostan’ is a much-awaited movie of 2018 which will be released during Diwali. The movie will star Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Lloyd Owen, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh in lead roles. This movie is directed and written by Vijay Krishna Acharya and produced by Yash Raj Films, this movie is actually an Indian epic adventure-action movie based on a novel.
Thugs of Hindostan is based on a novel named ‘Confessions of a Thug,’ which was written by Philip Meadows Taylor in the year 1839. This was a very famous novel of the 19th century and was a bestseller of that time in Britain.
This novel narrates the story of a thug named Ameer Ali, who was very dangerous and his role is played by Aamir Khan. The story narrates that there were some thugs in India who used to make rich travelers their friends and then they used to kill them and rob everything they had and then bury them successfully.
The British administration had a lot of problems with this cult because they had almost killed more than 20 lakh people. Britishers tried to capture them and then one day they captured Ameer Ali and made him confess everything, his confessions led to many arrests and by 1870 the thugs had become extinct.
Ameer Ali was a Pathan whose parents were killed and robbed by some thugs and after that Ismail or Khudabaksh (high ranking thug) adopts that little boy and raises him to become a thug. Ameer Ali’s character is one of the darkest characters in this novel as said by Aamir Khan himself.
This film is completely based on that era when these thugs existed and the story is pretty gory and hard-hitting too, but this film will also show the bond between Ameer Ali and Khudabaksh. This film is said to be one of the costliest films made in India and its shooting is done in Mehrangarh Fort Jodhpur and also in Thailand, the climax scene is said to be shot in Rajasthan.
The audience is eagerly waiting for this epic movie this Diwali and this movie is set to break all the records made by previous films and this movie is just a blockbuster package. Let’s wait for it.
