Ekaterina Andreeva, 31, also known as Gawhara, was filmed wowing revellers at a nightclub in Giza, dancing sexily “without underwear.”
While her case is being reviewed, Ekaterina is banned from dancing in Egypt, according to the Daily Mail. Andreeva took to Instagram to defend herself against accusations by Egyptian authorities that she had been performing belly dancing routines without wearing underwear.
Ekaterina hails from Perm Krai in Russia, but performs all over the world as a belly dancer and often shares videos of her routines on social media. Celebrating to her 136,000 Instagram followers, Andreeva wrote: “I’m finally out! My state of health is normal so do not worry about me!”
After Ekaterina Andreeva wore this outfit, she was arrested on suspicion of inciting young people to disobedience and immorality.

Gawhara has been released on bail of 5,000 EGP (£204), but the next legal step has not been made clear.
Local media report that the General Directorate of the Police of Tourism and Antiquities held that Ms. Andreeva was wearing a non-standard outfit to dance in and that she had “flaunted” her body.
