Temperatures in Arizona are seriously hot. In fact, it’s so hot in the state people began taking photographs of all the random objects melting in the heat. Street signs, mailboxes, stucco fences, oven mittens for your steering wheel, and cookies baking on dashboards are all signs of serious heat.

The hottest on record for Phoenix was 122 °F in June 1990 although the city has come close to its record as temperatures reached up 116 °F this year. Not only were things on the ground at risk from the heat but airplanes were forced to be grounded due to extreme temperatures.
